I know that since I didn't read the last book on time, I don't necessarily get a say in the next one, but if I did, it would be for What is the What or Unaccustomed Earth.
You'll be happy to hear I've officially given up on the other book I was reading. It will join the long list of books that I've read half of. That's what shelves are for, though...

I think everyone does that. Books I finish divided by books I start? Somewhere around half. No reason to keep reading if you're bored; sunk cost is sunk, right?
(My record for most pages read without finishing is Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon, which was really engrossing 'til about page 900, where it suddenly went dry.)
Okay, I officially have nine books on my night stand that are waiting for me to finish reading. Looks like my summer is already planned for! Elizabeth, finish Water for Elephants and then we can decide on the next book. Maybe by that time, I'll be done with Unaccostumed Earth and I can give it to you to read.
